If we are made in the image of God, then one of those attributes is we are relational. Created for fellowship, not just with God, but others as well. And the most important of those is your family. Good, bad or indifferent, your family is your family and they too have been made in His image. The family dynamic changes as you grow older too, which is also a great part of life. It's very easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and when we do often times some of our relationships by default begin to suffer. When you drill down into relationships a little more you realize it's your relationship with God that tends to suffer the most. Why? Because God isn't in front of you asking you to take the trash out, or to make Him the dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, or to have the quarterly report on their desk before 5:00pm. Here's my
Jackson has mentioned numerous times over the years that he wants to live in Tennessee. When I asked him why, "He just said it felt like home and he had a peace." I reminded him that being a tourist and having fun, was a lot different than working, paying bills, etc. Anyway, we have been everywhere in Tennessee, including multiple trips to Chattanooga. In fact, when he was almost three (3) I taught him to swim at the indoor pool at the Marriot downtown. This last visit was prompted by his own desire to take a solo trip to Tennessee. The kid took off from work and everything.
