If your desire is to be broke, then take financial advice from broke people. If you want to achieve wealth then you might need to change your inner-circle and learn to achieve wealth. It's funny in life how your friends knowledge shifts with each new challenge you face. Go through a divorce and all your friends become attorneys. Get cancer all of a sudden they have completed medical school. Want to make money, they appear to have received their MBA's in finance. It's comical really, but most mean well, but some don't want you being more successful than they are. Mastering your finances takes discipline, but most importantly it takes knowledge. How can you get this knowledge? Not from broke people unless you are learning what to avoid. Which you can learn as much, if not more, from failure than you can success. Broke people talk about a paycheck, raises or cost of living increases, while wealthy people speak about net worth, time freedom and legacies. When your conversations change, your mindset changes and when your mindset changes, your belief changes, when your belief changes, you become a student and the student grows into the master. It's nowhere near as easy to do as it was to type these words. It takes humility, hard work, perseverance, action, discipline, lack of sleep, etc. The sad thing is the process is the same for wealthy people and broke people. Broke people want instant gratification, while wealthy people are okay with delayed gratification. Live on as little as possible, which is hard to do in the current economy, but is still just an excuse. 10% to God (Giving), 10% to yourself, 10% into a savings account until there is enough to invest in something that pays you and puts your money to work, such as rental property, stocks with dividends, etc. Any investment advice should be sought out from a professional that is licensed to give said advice. In the Mastery 40 Program we walk you through these steps and give you the resources, strategies and tips you need to start earning what you are worth. Comments are closed.
